The 6 handspun yarns pictured below were given to the winners of The Garment District Show. (Winners names were picked at random from all who submitted to The Garment District Show by 11.15.07.) Each picture represents one prize. Thanks to all who submitted!



Kristin Shields/Knit One Quilt Two won this yarn... Ruby's Daughter Beautiful Blue/110 yards Handspun from super soft Blue Faced Leceister Wool. This single ply yarn varies from dk to heavy worsted weight. Dyed with wash fast and light fast acid dyes in various shades of blue.	Marie-Christine Gosse won this yarn... Swirly from ElysiumYarns 25 Yards of handspun cabled yarn Four ply novelty yarn spun from plied together cotton, Ingeo top, sparkle filament, and hand painted Merino singles. Yarn has a coiled/beehive spin in most places. A very cool and unique yarn with a lot of color. Worsted to bulky weight. From a smoke free enviroment	Lorraine Barrick won this yarn from... Pluckyfluff Tattered Trim It is SUPER BULKY....the wide spots are 2"+. It is rainbow dyed hemp, shredded silk scarves, silk and copper SOS pads. it would make a good trim for something, like a hood or cuffs maybe.	Eunice Chang won this yarn... ElysiumYarns Molten 206 yards of handspun and hand painted yarn. Spun from Merino roving and hand painted orange, red, and yellow. Lace weight. Comes from a smoke and pet free environment.	HollyEqq won this yarn... Franquemont Fibers Spring (4 skeins) SPRING is spun from Franquemont Fibers Luxury Batts made from a base of superwash Merino, a generous helping of hand-dyed tussah and bombyx silks and kid mohair, with a hint of firestar nylon for sparkle. Single ply. Each skein is 100 yards long, and suited for knitting (US needle size 6-8) or crochet ( US hook size f-H).	Zé DaLuz/KnitZy won this yarn from... Yarnpunk 121 yds. of recycled cotton fabric scraps spun with vintage purple cotton thread. Great choice for vegans + omnivores, too!
